Connecting global production to Africa — and African stories to the world

A connector,
not a vendor

Meridian Africa is a collaborator — the relationship layer between international production and South Africa's film industry. We don't own kit or crews; we're the people producers, agencies and institutions call when they have an idea and don't yet know who to call next.

That runs in both directions. We bring international productions into South Africa, matched with a trusted network of local suppliers, crews and studios — and we take African stories and talent out into the world, championing the work in rooms it wouldn't otherwise reach.

Founded by a South African with deep roots on both sides of the industry, and built on relationships across the country's production, institutional and cultural landscape, Meridian exists to close the distance between ambition and access.

Two directions.
One collaborator.

Meridian Africa is the relationship layer between international production and South Africa's film industry — not a production services company, but the collaborator who already knows who to call. We work alongside producers, agencies and brands, connecting each project to a trusted network of local partners, and we do the same in reverse: taking South African and African stories to the international stages built to receive them.

Film Production

We work alongside international productions as a collaborator on the ground — connecting you with the right South African crews, studios and partners for the project, and helping navigate the practical realities of shooting here. The result is production that moves at the pace of ambition, without losing the local expertise that makes it work.

Advertising

Agencies and brands get the same collaboration, tuned to the pace of advertising — the right director and production house for the brief, a crew assembled fast, and someone on the ground who already knows how to make it work, backed by the same network we bring to feature work.

Something
is coming

We are organising the first Meridian Seminar — a structured industry event that will bring leading international producers, directors, writers, casting directors and agents to South Africa for meaningful, curated encounters with local industry professionals and talent.

It's in motion. The vision is clear. And we believe the most powerful things in this industry are built through collaboration — not in isolation.

If you're an industry professional, a studio, a venue partner, or simply someone who believes in what this could be — we'd love to hear from you. Every great first edition starts with the right people in the room early.

Five principles
that define us

Precision

Every connection we make, every deal we facilitate is crafted with exact intention. No wasted introductions.

Integrity

We represent both sides of every relationship with equal honesty. Trust is the currency of the industry.

Partnership

We succeed when our clients and the African industry succeed together. Long-term relationships over short-term transactions.

Authenticity

Africa's stories demand authentic representation. We champion cultural truth above commercial convenience.

Excellence

We hold the continent's cinematic potential to the highest global standard — because Africa deserves nothing less.
